Location: Peel Cragg, Hadrian’s Wall, Northumberland

Calling all adrenalin junkies! Abseil 100 ft down the historic and
iconic Hadrian’s Wall Peel Cragg to support people living with
Parkinson’s.  The views are spectacular, the challenge is terrifying,
the cause rewarding. Are you up for it? No experience necessary and you
will be provided with all the equipment and a full briefing before you
start.
Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition, for which there is
currently no cure. It causes the brain to mix up messages to the brain
causing tremors, stiffness, freezing, chronic pain and slowness of
movement. This makes everyday activities such as dressing, walking,
eating, driving and working very difficult and frustrating. As well as
the symptoms that affect movement, people with Parkinson’s can find that
other issues such as chronic tiredness, depression and compulsive
behaviors have an impact on their day-to-day lives. Every hour, someone
in the UK is told the life-changing news they have Parkinson’s.

Parkinson’s UK is the leading Parkinson’s support and research charity
and we are here to ensure that no one faces Parkinson’s alone. For 45
years we have been working to find a cure and to improve treatment for
everyone affected. Parkinson’s UK is passionate about ensuring everyone
affected has access to the services and care they need. See more at
